Bio

Robert joined the Trailblazer Foundation Board of Directors in 2007 and has served as President since 2008. Robert has worked as a professional in the renewable energy, environmental and information technology industries serving national and international clients for over 30 years. He founded and served 8 years as Director of the Univ. of Nebraska Renewable Energy Research and Policy Office. Executive and management positions include: HWS Environmental Engineering; Oracle Consulting; Sun Microsystems Prof. Services; Cendant Corp.; and Information Handling Services. Robert is Pres. of Sustainable Development / International, Denver, Colo., Secretary - Board of Trustees Village Earth ? International Institute for Sustainable Development [IISD], CSU, Program Committee for CORE [Connected Organizations for a Responsible Economy]. Robert has volunteered for the Lincoln, NE City Energy Commission, American Cancer Society Prostate, Rocky Mountain CleanTech Open Competition, CO Environmental Partnership 2010 Sustainability Champion Awards, State of Neb. Consulting Architect and Engineers Selection Board, American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Solar Water Heating Design and Installation Standards Committee, and Colo. Governor Bill Ritter?s Business and Industry Sector - CO Climate Action Committee. He has given testimony to the U.S. Congress - Committee on Renewable Energy Policy and Tax incentives. He is on the Colo. Renewable Energy Society Planning Committee and the International Steering Committee for the Alliance for Renewable Energy - World Futures Council. Robert was born and raised in Nebraska but currently lives in Colorado. He served over 28 years as a Cryptology Officer, Naval Reserves and holds a B.S. in Architecture with graduate work in Architecture and Business Admin. , Univ. of Neb. Robert is an avid snowboarder, lived in Spain for two years and is a world traveler.
