Erin Youngberg has been a Trailblazer Foundation board member since its inception in April, 2004. The daughter of founders, Scott and Chris Coats, she has visited Cambodia numerous times and is committed to the amazing and important work of Trailblazer Foundation. As Vice President/Head of Communications, Erin creates the quarterly newsletter, gives frequent presentations, organizes fundraising events, and handles volunteer inquiries for the organization. Originally from Wyoming, she currently lives in Fort Collins, CO where she and her husband, Aaron Youngberg, run a home studio and perform in a bluegrass band called Finders & Youngberg. She has a BS in Wildlife Biology and Conservation Management, as well as Certification in "Project Wild" a K-12 curriculum for teaching children about the social, political and biological aspects of nature. Her main focus of interest is the ecological impacts of humans with nature, through disease, habitat alteration, agriculture use, water quality/ watershed management, and personal interactions/ feelings towards wildlife.
