Doug was raised on the South Shore of Boston, MA. In 1997, he received a BA in Government from Colby College. From 1997 through 2003, Doug lived in Jackson, working for a variety of non-profit organizations, law firms and clerking for a Federal Magistrate Judge. Doug then pursued and received his Juris Doctor with a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from the University of Montana School of Law. Upon completion of his degree, Doug clerked for the Honorable John Warner at the Montana Supreme Court. Returning to Jackson in 2007, Doug practiced at the Law Office of James K. Lubing until forming his own law firm, the Schultz Law Firm, in 2009. Doug is licensed to practice law in the states of Wyoming and Washington.
Doug enjoys spending his free time hiking and camping with his dog, learning to fly fish, mountain biking, back-country skiing, reading, writing and giving back to his local and international community. He joined Trailblazer Foundation in 2009 as a member of the Board of Directors and serves in the capacity of President.
