Recommended:
To enhance your visit to the temples at Angkor, and if you are not afraid of flying, you might consider a helicopter tour of the temples. There are many flight options available, from short flights of only a few minutes to much longer flights. You will get a much different perspective on the temple complex, and just how vast the Angkor Wat temple area is. You will get a better appreciation of the complexity and extent of the architecture and the civilization of the Angkorian Empire.
Itinerary
Day 01: Ho Chi Minh Arrival
On your arrival, you will be met by our staff who will transfer you to your hotel. After checking in, you will have free time to relax, or go and do some shopping and have a look around Vietnam’s largest and most energetic city.
Overnight in Ho Chi Minh hotel.
Day 02: Ho Chi Minh City Tour
After breakfast in hotel we take a city tour that reveals city’s turbulent past and gives a glimpse into the many fascinating things the city has to offer. The morning schedule includes The Reunification Palace, the War Remnants Museum: the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Post Office, the Governor’s Palace, and the Duc Ba (Our Lady’s) Cathedral. In the afternoon we visit the picturesque Gail Lam Pagoda, Cholon Market, Thien Hau Pagoda, and the Ben Thanh Market

Day 03: Ho Chi Minh - Mekong Delta – Chau Doc
Breakfast in the hotel, and we are off to explore the rivers and canals around Can Tho by boat, and also visit a local farmhouse. After that we take a boat trip to the floating markets of Cai Rang, and then drive to the border town of Chau Doc, and tour a nearby island inhabited by the Cham. In the evening we can see the sunset over Sam Mountain all the way to Cambodia.

Day 04: Chao Doc - Phnom Penh City Tour
After breakfast, we get ready to go to Phnom Penh by boat going up the Mekong River to the Cambodian capita. After checking into your hotel, we take a tour of the city. You get an insight into the history of the Khmer Rouge regime with a visit to the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum. Then its on to the National Museum, the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda, and Wat Phnom.

Day 05: Phnom Penh - Siem Reap
In the morning after breakfast, we see the Independent Monument and then go shopping at the famous Russian Market. That afternoon you head to Siem Reap by VIP bus with a movie and music (approx. 5 ½ hrs.). Upon arrival you will be met by our staff who will transport you to your hotel. In the evening there is a welcome buffet dinner with Khmer Classical Apsara dance.

Day 06: Siem Reap - Angkor Temples
As an option for those who want to see the sunrise over Angkor, we have a special tour. Then back to hotel for breakfast. Then again we return to Angkor to explore the Angkor Thom complex, as well as the jungle temple of Ta Prohm, overgrown by large trees and vines. In the afternoon we visit Angkor Wat, and then see the sunset at the Pre Rup Temple

Day 07: Siem Reap - Angkor Temples – Floating Village
After breakfast, we take a drive out through the Siem Reap countryside past rice paddies and houses on stilts to see the Banteay Srei Temple. Banteay Srei means the Citadel of Woman and is made of pink sandstone and decorated with ornate stone carvings, and then its on to Banteay Samre Temple. In the afternoon we go on a trip to explore the amazing floating village on Tonle Sap Lake, and see a lifestyle adapted to living on the water.

Day 08: Siem Reap - Free Day
Breakfast at the hotel, and then you will be free for leisure activities, such as relaxing by the pool or getting a massage treatment at the spa. You may also want to explore Siem Reap or take an optional tour.

Day 09: Siem Reap - Departure
Breakfast at the hotel, then free time until your departure transfer.
